14th ANNUAL BOBBY MYRICK GOLF TOURNAMENT

MONDAY MAY 4, 2026

BOBBY MYRICK
 1952-2012

Bobby Myrick was regarded by many as the best athlete to ever come through Hattiesburg. A letterman in four sports at Hattiesburg High, Bobby signed a baseball scholarship with Mississippi State upon graduation. The captain of the MSU baseball team in 1974, he was drafted by the New York Mets in the 20th round of the Major League Baseball Draft. Making his major league debut in 1976, Bobby played five years of pro baseball before coming home to Hattiesburg to work at the family business - Economy Supply. While his on the field accomplishments are legendary to some, it was Bobby’s witness for Jesus Christ which is remembered the most. A vocal supporter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for years, Bobby contributed his time and substance to FCA until the Lord called him “home.” This annual FCA tournament honors Bobby Myrick’s life of service to his family and community and his devoted belief that all should know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
